If there were just one word that could be used to describe Terri and her heart for God and children it would be “insatiable”. She has an unquenchable love for both that can only be satisfied by service. She believes that this must be the very reason that God has given her the assignment to write and teach. Terri believes that you can experience the purist form of God’s love when giving love to children. There is no greater reward than having mastered the art of loving children “where they are” and then teaching and encouraging them to be who God has called them to be. So it is from this special assignment that “Kingdom Kids: Speak Life Declaration Book Series” was birthed. "There is a need in the earth to teach young children who they are in God, what they can be and what they can have as a result of a relationship with Him. It's NEVER too soon".
Terri is married to Retired, SFC Frank Bell and they are the proud parents of two sons, Frank and Kendall and a new daugther-in-love, Marie. It is while traveling as a military spouse that she began her professional career in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. Terri believes in Proverbs 18:16 which states, “Your gift will make room for you”. (paraphrased) This passage of scripture seems to manifest itself in her life quite often. Over the past 25 years, she has been working with children in Elementary schools (reading recovery and special needs), Army Child Development Centers, and School Age after-care programs. She has held such positions as, Center Director, Assistant Director, Teacher, and Training and Curriculum Specialist.
Terri loves training and has trained staff and parents on various spectrum's of child development with topics such as; child abuse and neglect, conflict resolution, programming and curriculum, and special need inclusion to name a few. She also has a wealth of knowledge of Center accreditation with the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). She was instrumental in maintaining center accreditation for Ft. Jackson’s Child, Youth and School Services during her tenure working for the organization.
Terri has also had the pleasure of conducting many workshops and seminars to include “baby signs” as she is also certified in American Sign Language. Her love for writing allows her to lend her services as a freelance writer for the international publication, Faith Filled Family Magazine. The publication focuses on building and encouraging Christian families and raising children according to the Word of God.
Terri is also the CEO/Founder of a non-profit organization appropriately entitled, “Kingdom Kids Foundation”. Its goal is to use literacy to teach young children who they are in God. She will use the books from her Kingdom Kids Book Series as a catalyst to accomplish that goal. Terri is also the owner of her own publishing company called, Divinely Inspired Publications. She uses the business as a teaching tool to build and launch Christian writers to walk in their destiny as Authors. Terri is also a former board member for the South Carolina-Midlands chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) of the Midlands. Terri is so honored to be currently serving at Oliver Gospel Mission's-Toby's Place, a transitional home for homeless women and children working with programming.
She often says, “It is an absolute honor to serve God. I have learned that we do not get to choose who we will become in this world. Before the earth was created, God knew exactly who we would be. (Jeremiah 1:5) I surrender to the fact that my love for God, children and His people is innately graphed, it is an indelible part of who I am purposed to be."
Terri’s prayer is that every one of God’s children, young and old will come into the knowledge of who He is and who they are in Him. It is there that we all find our true purpose and destiny!
