Well, it's that time again for another declaration challenge from my children's book, "I am who God says that I am"!
Take a look at the picture. It is worth a 1000 words. Sometimes all it takes is a word of encouragement to empower a child to believe that they can do anything!
You know I LOVE words so, let's look at what the word "BRAVE" really means.
To be brave is to have courage and endurance. Some of the synonyms for the word are: BOLD, WARRIOR, CONFIDENT, FEARLESS, ADVENTUROUS and UNAFRAID!
I know that these are the characteristics that we want to instill in our children. If the truth be told, we need a little of this ourselves. (smile). Remember that our words have so much power and influence and we can SPEAK LIFE to our children by saying what God says about them.
"I have NOT given you a spirit of fear (timidity, anxiety, doubt, worry or distress) but I have given you my spirit and it is full of love, power (capability, competency, aptitude and strength) and a sound (sturdy, safe, sane and responsible) mind!" That's the truth of God's word that we find in 2 Timothy 1:7 and that's the truth we speak into the lives of our children!
I'll keep on shouting this, until we all catch it...Our children have too many people in their ear. There are too many outside influences that we can not control BUT God's word can permeate and protect our children if we are purposeful in releasing it. So, I challenge you to find creative, intentional ways to build confidence and bravery in your child. Find scriptures that coincide with what you want to see in them and begin to pray those scriptures over your child(ren). If you have older children, use those scriptures to share with them and have dialogue with them about it. Help them to establish their own relationship with God.
We declare that our children are BRAVE and so are we! God bless you as you raise and teach children to be all God has called them to be. "Kingdom Kids"!
